Amy Bruggemann
MSN, APRN-BC, CWS

Amy received her Nurse Practitioner degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, with an undergrad from Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In 2004, Amy joined Specialized Wound Management where she has been a Director of Clinical Operations since 2006. In this role, she continues to see patients while managing Nurse Practitioners in IL, MO, NE, and KS.

The practice provides care to patients in post-acute and home health care. Amy has been a Certified Wound Specialist, since 2006 through the American Academy of Wound Management.  She began her career in healthcare at the age of 16 as a C.N.A. Amy has worked as a floor nurse, MDS coordinator, and DON prior to becoming a NP. She edits textbooks, and journals for Springer Publishing Company, consults as a legal nurse, joins physician panels and lectures throughout the country on advanced wound care and related topics.
